Achieve 3000 by Diego R.

Achieve 3000

Achieve 3000 is a reading website that is used throughout our school. It allows us to read articles given by the website. After you login you are greeted by a group of articles from different genres. Scrolling down you can find old articles. Scrolling down farther you’ll see your schools top classes and the top schools in your state then worldwide. If you click the three lines you get five options: home,my lessons, writing center, activity and learn .
After you enter achieve 3000 you can click on an article to begin reading it. some articles will give you a question to respond to before you read the article and after you finish the article you will get some questions, (about 8 ) about the article then once you finish you will get the first question you answered before the article again to see if you changed your mind . Sometimes there will be additional things like a thought question, poll results, extended article, extended activity.
Pros to achieve 3000 are first of all you can read many different things such as the scoop ( a quick news letter). Secondly after answering a question sometimes you can see how others answers to the question . Also each article has their own set of questions . Each article has their own set of vocabulary. The articles can be personalized. Lastly you can see your personal Lexile ( reading level).
Achieve 3000 also has some cons such as it takes a while to complete the level set test. Secondly it might wrongly calculate your lexile. Also there could be some articles that don’t appeal to some people such as I have been getting things that don’t appeal to me or that won’t count as an assignment . The website can have long activities to do.
All in all I think that achieve 3000 is a great learning website and would recommend it in school.
