Class Dojo App Review by Landon

Class Dojo is an app teaches use to relay what they’re doing in class to parents at home so
parents can help their children in school. Although it is directed towards elementary students it can
be used in middle and even high school!

While in Class dojo teachers can send messages to parents and post photos for everyone in
the class to see. This definitely helps teachers for if they need to talk to parents because without it
they either have to hunt them down or wait until parent teacher conferences. With how much
teachers work this isn’t ideal.
There is also a reward system that allows teachers to either takeaway or give points. This is a
good way to track how well a kid is behaving in class and relay that information to the parents so
they can solve the problem. Although one negative point, some might use this for how good
someone did on class work or a test but as anyone in the class can see others points so if someone
is struggling it may be embarrassing.
You can also take away or give points as a class of groups. When a class is being loud or
generally rowdy you can take away points as a class so you don’t have to go through every one
who was talking and take away one point at a time. Another option for one is it put students in groups so if one table group is being naughty the teacher can take away points or if they’re working
hard they get points.
Class dojo is great for teachers who have trouble communicating with parents and keeping
track of the trouble makers in class. Although class dojo has so many other amazing features such
as a timer, random group maker, noise meter, etc so I encourage any teacher out there to give to a
try!
